First, I worked on my sewing skills. I took a skirt I loved the pattern of but hated the design of, and made it into a skirt that I'm fully in love with! Here are some pictures...the first isn't even the before, in this pic I had already sewn up all the nasty pleats in it, but the after is my new pencil skirt!
Second, I also worked on my sewing skills, trying to be thrifty. I took one of my husband's button up shirts that he had grown out of (he's a bodybuilder, so his muscles are always growing) and turned it into something cute and feminine and mine! haha Here are the before and after pics, it's now one of my favorite shirts now:)
Third, I worked on my organization skills (which need some serious help!). I have a little craft area. I don't know if I mentioned this before, but my hubby and I live with his parents, so my craft area is in his parents' dining room, so it's pretty limited space-wise and I have a LOT of craft stuff...I could probably devote a whole room to my craft things (takes a moment to daydream of having a craft room) But anyway, my area was definitely not organized because everything didn't have a specific place. Here are the before, during, and after pics. As you can see, our dog, Arnie kept my company while I was working on it<3 For some reason I can't make the during picture stand upright:/
And fourth, I further worked on my organizational skills, and cleaned out my closet. The before pic is quite embarrassing:/ But I have to share it to show just how much was done haha The top shelf is full of my father-in-law's stuff so that's why it wasn't touched. Really annoying, but again the blog won't let me flip these pics upright:/ Sorry!
And that's it for now:) Now if I can only keep the areas I organized as organized as they are now! haha
